About Me

My name is Alma Bergroth, 16 yrs old. I started playing with golf clubs when I was four years old, but I began training when I was eight. Over the past few years, I have been training on average about 5-6 times a week. I started competing when I was eight years old (Mini Tour in Sweden and the Finnish Junior Tour). In 2018, I went with my family to Scotland and played in the European Championship for girls aged 9. This competition was an inspiring start to my golf career. Since I secured a nice second place after losing in a playoff, I was invited to participate in the World Championship in the USA. My actual handicap is +2,1, and my best results are the following: - European Championship 2018, girls 9 yrs, US Kids Golf: second place - World Championship 2018, girls 9 yrs, US Kids Golf: 15th place - Ålands championship 2022 - Gold medal - Ålands championship 2024 - Gold medal - Finnish championship u14 2022 - Silver medal - Finnish championship u16 2023 - Silver medal - Finnish championship u16 2024 - Gold medal - Natwest International Islands Games 2023: fourth place My best best round is 7 under par, at the Ålands championship 2024 (Eckerö Golf).
